.018 - Still-life Painting Series

I'm not a painter, this semester in school I'm learning how to paint. Here are a couple of my first paintings from Jan/Feb 2010, mind you, I'm just learning in these. All of them are approximately the same size (18" x 24") and all done in oil and are still-lives I set up in the classroom or in my dorm.

Don't be too harsh on me, I was just learning how, but still let me know what you think. I'll update you on my better paintings later! :)

.017 - Commissions in Progress

Recently I've been commissioned for a few different projects. Most exciting is a coffee table. They want a white Gibson guitar painted on the top. They provided the black coffee table bought at a local Goodwill. Here is my picture to go by:

I am also making 2 scarves, hemming pants, fixing the straps on a bag and designing a tattoo. With all this I'll be pretty busy this week. As soon as I finish these I'll post them.

.016 - WIP (Kio Fish)

I haven't posted in a while mainly because I didn't have digital copies of my finished works. Anyway, I thought I would show you a work in progress.

This piece I started as a commission but the person ended up bailing on me so I changed the background to what I wanted. Pretty soon I plan to add the scales of the fish and finish the bubble and fish surrounding it. Hopefully soon it'll get a lot better. I love drawing and painting fish. It is on stretched canvas. It has more on the picture but you can't see it because it wouldn't fit onto the screen.

A New Spin on Igloo Iguana

So I realized that in order to make this blog friendly and inviting I must first incorporate more than just my pieces; I must create a story, giving you updates and telling you other aspects dealing with Igloo Iguana as a business. I will show my works in progress, workspaces, and the completed works. I believe this change will help who reads this further understand the workings of Igloo Iguana and hopefully become a part of it.

What I am up to:
At this moment I am waiting for my ride to pick me up from my dorm. Its move-out day, I've enjoyed this year and hope that the next will be just as wonderful.
